RFID Journal LIVE! is the event where companies from around the world come to learn how they can deploy radio frequency identification technologies to cut cost, streamline business processes, improve inventory management, track assets and more. It’s also the place to find solution providers offering the products and services companies need.
There will be nearly 200 exhibitors from 26 countries in the exhibit hall. Many of the exhibiting companies, however, don’t do much advertising, and most end users don’t know what many RFID companies do. This makes finding the right exhibitors something of a challenge.
To solve this issue, we’ve developed a tool called RFID Connect, which enables attendees to find the products and services they are looking for. Attendees can log in to RFID Connect, fill out their profile and select the products and services they want to buy.
Attendees can then click on “Connect with Exhibitors” and choose the Recommendations tab. There will be a list of exhibitors that offer the products and services that an attendee selected in his or her profile; he or she can then click on a star next to the exhibitor’s name to save that firm to a personalized list.
The list will be stored in the attendee’s profile online and on our smartphone app. This makes it easy to visit these exhibitors at the event. Attendees can also click on the email icon next to an exhibitor’s name and send an email to request a meeting.
What’s more, those attending LIVE! can click on “Advanced Search” to find products by category (fixed or handheld readers, for example) or by industry solutions (health care, retail or aerospace, for instance). This will call up a list of exhibitors that offer products and services related to these areas.
